Privacy Policy

SamDriv is a fleet management platform for taxi and transport companies, made up of an admin web application and a companion driver mobile app. This policy explains what personal data we collect through SamDriv, why, and what rights you have over it.

Who this applies to
SamDriv is provided to transport companies ("Fleet Operators") for their own internal use managing their drivers and vehicles. If you're a driver or staff member using the SamDriv app, your employer is the Fleet Operator that set up your account — they decide what information about you is entered into the system and who at their company can see it. SamDriv (Server Sea AB) processes that data on the Fleet Operator's behalf, as described below.
Information we collect

What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't use your data for advertising, and SamDriv contains no third-party ad trackers.
- We don't track your device's location in the background — the only location feature in the app is the one-time address lookup described above, which only runs when you tap it.
Who we share data with
Within your own company's SamDriv account, your Fleet Operator's admins can see the records relevant to managing you as a driver — this is the whole purpose of the platform. Each company's data is kept in its own separate database; one Fleet Operator never has access to another's.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run SamDriv, who process data on our behalf under their own confidentiality and data-processing terms:
- Hosting — our servers and databases, where all SamDriv data is stored.
- Expo/Google/Apple push notification services — to deliver app notifications to your device.
- Resend — to send transactional email (e.g. a bug report submitted from the app reaching our developers).
We don't share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active with your Fleet Operator, and afterwards for as long as necessary to meet legal obligations your Fleet Operator has as an employer — for example, Swedish bookkeeping law requires certain payroll and financial records to be retained for several years even after employment ends. Your Fleet Operator's admin can deactivate or delete your account at any time; deleting an account removes your login access immediately, while employment/financial history tied to real transactions is retained as described above rather than erased outright.
Request account or data deletion
Driver and staff accounts in SamDriv are created and managed by your employer (your Fleet Operator) — there's no self-service "delete my account" button inside the app itself, since removing an account has real payroll and employment-record implications only your employer can authorize. To request deletion:
- Ask your company's SamDriv administrator to delete your account from their admin panel — this removes your login access immediately.
- Or email us directly at samdriv-dev@samdriv.com and we'll relay the request to your employer, or help directly if you no longer have a way to reach them.
You can also request deletion of specific data (for example, a photo attached to an old report) without closing your whole account — the same two options above work for that too. As described under Data retention above, some records (e.g. payroll/financial history tied to real transactions) may be retained even after an account is deleted, where Swedish law requires it.
Your rights
Because SamDriv is based in Sweden, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to the retention needs described above;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Lodge a complaint with Sweden's data protection authority, the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Since your Fleet Operator controls the data entered about you, start by asking your own company's admin — we'll support them in fulfilling your request. You're also welcome to contact us directly at samdriv-dev@samdriv.com.
Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to your company's data is restricted to your own company's authenticated users. We apply industry-standard practices such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) for everything the app and website send and receive.
Children's privacy
SamDriv is a workplace tool for employed drivers and staff. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SamDriv after a change means you accept the updated policy.
